Born on a boundary ("cusp")?

The Sun changes signs at a specific hour that shifts slightly year to year, so people born on boundary dates (e.g. 19–20 April) can technically be either sign depending on birth year and time. Pop astrology romanticizes "cusps"; technically you have exactly one sun sign — a birth-time lookup settles it. For posters and birthday cards, the standard table above is what everyone uses.

Frequently asked questions

What are the 12 zodiac signs in order?

Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces — starting from the March equinox.

Can my zodiac sign be "wrong" by one day?

If you were born on a boundary date, the exact switch hour of that year decides. Standard tables are right for 98% of people.

Is the "13th sign" (Ophiuchus) real?

It's a constellation the Sun crosses, but Western astrology's 12-sign system is based on equal 30° segments, not constellation sizes — no mainstream chart uses 13 signs.
